Non-London councils at Sitematch
Tue 20th December 2016, 11:12 am
This year’s Sitematch London on 8 February at The Shard will feature a number of non-London local authorities developers can book a meeting with.
The most recent to join is Crawley Borough Council. Located in the county of West Sussex between London and Brighton, and with a rich history dating back to Roman times, the borough has a population of 110,000 and covers an area of almost 45sq km.
The town benefits from a very close proximity to Gatwick Airport – just five miles, making the area attractive to investors.
The council will be at Sitematch to participate in speed dating meetings. Developers that book their meetings can learn more about the numerous development opportunities the area offers.
At Sitematch, the council will announce more details about a key mixed-use development site in the town centre: a prime one hectare development site with one third available for commercial development.
There will also be a number of opportunities coming forward in the Manor Royal Business District, which is the largest business park in the Gatwick Diamond, home to more than 500 businesses generating 30,000 jobs.
Councillor Peter Smith, portfolio holder for planning and economic development, said: “We have an ambitious programme of regeneration, focused on the town centre, which is building on the strengths of the town’s economy to help develop retail, employment, business and residential opportunities. Our exciting plans for Queens Square, major new developments and the wealth of town centre opportunity sites make Crawley the place to invest in.”
To learn more about Crawley and the development opportunities it offers, book your meeting with them at Sitematch on 8 February 2017 by contacting Josie Brewer on 020 7978 6840.
